Why Unmasked Exists
We grew up in a architecture of silence, where a boy’s strength was measured by the thickness of his armor. Unmasked exists to dismantle that cage, creating a museum of the spirit where Black masculinity is allowed to breathe, to weep, and to finally be seen in its most delicate, holy state.
Healing is not a destination but a collective resonance. We curate silence into symphony, building a future where mental health is a birthright and community is the mirror that reflects our true selves. Here, we shed the masks of survival for the skin of our own choosing.
Why Unmasked Exists
Growing up in the weight of a silent house, masculinity was a suit of armor worn until it became the skin. We exist to dissolve that metal. To turn the static of mental health into a clear, resonant frequency for Black men.
